so many是“这么多、如此多”的意思,后面是“以至于。”,表示一种结果; 而too many是太多了,一般说“too many”,常和不定时连用,表示否定意思,往往译作“太多了,而不能”。
so many和too many的区别

修饰对象不同1.so much用于修饰不可数名词，例如：
There is so much water. 这里有很多水。
2.so many用于修饰可数名词，例如：
Faced with so many difficulties,she wilted. 面对那么多的困难，她退缩不前了。
2部分含义不同so many和so much除了都可以表示“很多、大量”之外，so much还可以表示“非常”。例如：
1.I love your book so much. 我非常喜欢你的书
2.If I had not been enjoying the work,I would not have done so much of it. 如果我不喜欢这份工作的话，就不会这么卖命干了。
3.He loves his friends so much. 他非常喜欢他的朋友。
4.There were so many people. 这里有很多人。
5.You don't need so many people for this job. 你不需要这么多人来做这份工作。
