near和next to都有“在......附近”的意思。但是,从空间位置上讲,near只表示“在......的附近”,而next to表示“紧挨着”。它比near离物体要更近一些。

near:距离不远,在附近,不久以后,几乎,差不多。
next to:紧邻,在…近旁,仅次于。
2、用法不同
near:作形容词,副词,介词以及动词。

near:侧重于较远的距离,或者抽象的距离。
